COLUMBIA, Mo. — After their top player was scratched just before the final whistle, the Missouri Tigers hung with No. 4 Alabama for about a half but couldn’t match the firepower of the Crimson Tide with leading scorer Kobe Brown on the bench.
With less than 30 minutes remaining in Saturday’s sell-out game, Mizzou announced Brown would miss the game while suffering an ankle injury late Wednesday against Arkansas, and promoted freshman Aidan Shaw to the starting XI for the first time this season .
